Look who arrived at our backyard to cheer up us :-)

16 May 2019

Inclement weather has added fire into already aggravated covid pandemic. Coastal Karnataka is battered by cyclone Tauktae which is on rampage throughout coast. It's mirroring the monsoon vibes in early may itself. Some met stations crossed 350mm rains in 24hrs and thus depicting severity of impact. The cyclone which just kissed the coast, left trail of devastation in coastal karnataka with choppy seas raging over the human land for nearly 50-100mts. Kaup beach shops were also victims of raging seas. Never ever coastal Karnataka seen such misery from cyclone. The cyclones which never hit coastal Karnataka has recently been striking the shore with intense power.

Meanwhile, the scene in Bangalore also not so pleasant. The atmosphere is lousy, the sky is cloudy, the chilly winds are raising infection scare. We were completely locked inside house which was imperative due to harsh breeze. It was difficult to manage with our only healer which is apartment terrace was virtually locked by cyclone breeze. Today morning, when we were contemplating on home activities which could invigorate kids, the red-whiskered bulbul appeared and started singing. It was jovially jumping between electric lines with melodious singing. That was lifer for me. The bird which was easy grab at my home town has been elusive here at Bangalore. These birds seem to be timid in urban environment. I captured its pictures through the narrow opening of balcony which came out relatively appealing but not so great considering the proximity. It seemed as if bird appeared to cheer us up with its melodious voice and funny movements.

A tiny clip of bird to lighten up your day!
