Shiradi ghat is not only known for thick rainforests but also for some unusual stuffs. One of them is this rickety wagon with just skeleton lying for years. The rusty vehicle with exotic background creates funky HDRs at times. I wanted to try this shot on many occasions but failed to pull over vehicle due to lack of time. This time, our destination was nearby ghat and hence had plenty of time to shoot it. My family was amazed at my attitude towards picturing the archaic vehicle and waited till I came back. They later realised that junky things can be funky after watching pictures. Even a tarnished thing can be made beautiful! Looks like the cycles of sun and rain has restricted the algal proliferation on this dead wagon.
If I remember correctly, this wagon caught fire significant years back. From then onwards, this vehicle is abandoned inside ghat with no-one taking responsibility clear it up. The skeleton seems to have spent days under heavy rains and sustained vagaries of weather. Maybe some components are salvaged by garage mechanics for reuse. What remains is only skeletal portion which is dummy part. It feels like ghost is maintaining it.
