ಚಿತ್ರ ಬರಹ - ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುವಿರಿ ಮೋಡಗಳೇ :-(

ಕರಾವಳಿಗರು ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನೇ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಮಳೆಯೇ ಬಿದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ ಈ ಬಾರಿ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಲ್ಲೇ ನಿಂತಿದಾವೋ ಏನೋ ಅನ್ನೋದು ಬಹು ಜನರ ಸಂಶಯ. ಹಲವು ಮೋಡಗಳು ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಂತೆ ಕತ್ತಲು ತರುತ್ತದೆಯಾದರೂ ಮಳೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸುರಿಯುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಬಿಸಿಲ ಬೇಗೆಗೆ ಧರಣಿ ಬವಳಿ ಸೊರಗಿಹೋಗಿದೆ. ಇನ್ನಾದರೂ ಮಳೆ ಸುರಿಯಲಿ ಎಂಬುದು ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಜನರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ.

ನಾನು ಕೂಡಾ ಬೇಸರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಡಗಳನ್ನೇ ದುರುಗುಟ್ಟಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಬರೆದ ಪ್ರಾಸ :-(

ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುವಿರಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಡಗಳೆ

ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದೆ ಬಹುದಿನದಿಂದ ಬರಡು ಇಳೆ

ಮಳೆಯ ಸುರಿಸಿ ತೊಡಿಸಿ ಹಸಿರ ಬಳೆ

ವೃದ್ಧಿಸಿ ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಕೃತಿಕ ಕಳೆ

ಆದಷ್ಟು ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ವರುಣ ದೇವಾ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹರಸಿ ಭೂಮಿ ತಣ್ಣಗಾಗಿಸಲಿ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸೋಣ 🙏

ಚಿತ್ರ ಬರಹ - ಏನೇ ಆಗಲಿ ಕುರ್ಚಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ನಂದೇ!

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಕಾವು ತಾರಕಕ್ಕೆ ಏರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅತಂತ್ರ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶ ಬರುವ ಸೂಚನೆಯು ಇದೆ. ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಕಿಂಗ್-ಮೇಕರ್ ಯಾರು ಎಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟರವರೆಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರಲುಬಹುದು! ಅದೇ ಸೂಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಕುರ್ಚಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಾಳವಾಗಿ  ನಿದ್ರಾವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮಾರ್ಜಾಲ ಕೂಡಾ ಸಂದೇಶ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆ ಏನೋ?! ಏನೇ ಆಗಲಿ ಕುರ್ಚಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲೇ ಇರೋದು ಅಂತಾ ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಮಲಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದೆ ನೋಡಿ. ಹಾಗಾಗದಿರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಆಶಿಸೋಣ. ಒಂದೇ ಪಕ್ಷ ಬಹುಮತದಿಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ೫ ವರ್ಷ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸಲಿ.

Its election time in Karnataka. Check posts are erected in nook and cranny of state to mitigate illegal distribution of wealth to lure voters. While it feels alright apparently, the politicians find intelligent ways to sneak in illegal money to buy votes! This fully loaded truck is no different. The truck which transports hay to coastal areas is easy pick for politicians perhaps to hide money in heap! This fully loaded truck was intercepted by election check post in Kottigehara to scout for any black money hidden in the heap. Great hideout to transport cash perhaps 😂. Not sure its final verification status since we passed through. 

Photo Blog - Flames of Sky

The thunderstorm season is started in South India. The clouds are everywhere including Bengaluru. The clean skies of morning turn dark my noon, the skies roar & flash. If you are lucky, the area will see precipitation. Thunderstorm rains are luck i.e. you never know the exact spot of precipitation.

The walk along the amruthahalli lake promenade also exposes beauties of thunderstorm skies. I have written many, today let me write a tiny post. While concluding the walk, I noticed this interesting flame in sky. The cloud seemed angry as if my region would see intense activity or it might be burning with ire "Suffer in humidity, I won't precipitate near your place, enough of nature destruction. The city population never understands the importance of natural habitat". Don't know what it conveyed but not a single drop of rain fell over the region, which means the rains were reluctant to come down.

Despite the lack of color, monochrome too conveyed the same message!

ಚಿತ್ರ ಬರಹ - ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋದ್ವಪ್ಪಾ ಮೋಡಗಳು!

ಇದು ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಬರಹದ ಕನ್ನಡ ಆವೃತ್ತಿ ಅಂದರೂ ತಪ್ಪಾಗದು! ಕರಾವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾವಿ/ನದಿ ಬತ್ತಿಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರಾನಾ, ಪ್ರಾಣಿ-ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಸಂಕಟ ಆಗುತ್ತೆ! ಸುಮಾರು ೫ ತಿಂಗಳು ಆಗಿರಬೇಕು ಮಳೆ ಬರದೇ. ಹೇಗಾಗಿರಬೇಕು ಭೂಮಿ ನೀವೇ ಯೋಚಿಸಿ. ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ ಮಧ್ಯಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಳೆ ಶುರು ಆಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಮುಂಗಾರಿನ ಸಮಯ ಹತ್ತಿರವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಮಳೆಯ ಸೂಚನೆಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲ :-(.  ಕರಾವಳಿ ಭಾಗ ಹೊರತುಪಡಿಸಿ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪೂರ್ತಿ ಮಳೆಯದ್ದೇ ಕಾರುಬಾರು!  ಆದಷ್ಟು ಬೇಗ ವರುಣ ದೇವ ಕರಾವಳಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಭರ್ಜರಿ ಆಗಮನ ನೀಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ಆಶಿಸೋಣ!

ಈ ಸುಂದರ ನವಿಲು ತೆಂಗಿನ ಮರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತು ಅತ್ತ ಇತ್ತ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಬಹುಶಃ ಮಳೆ ಸೂಚನೆ ಇದಿಯೋ ಇಲ್ವೋ ಅಂತ ನೋಡಕ್ಕೆ ಇರಬೇಕು!

"ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮೋಡಗಳು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ಜಾಮ್ ಆಗಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ಯಾ ಹೇಗೆ? ಯಾವ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲೂ ಮೋಡ ಕಾಣಿಸ್ತಾ ಇಲ್ವಲಪ್ಪಾ! ಯಾವಾಗ ಮಳೆ ಸುರಿಯುತ್ತೋ! ಸೆಖೆ ತಡಿಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗ್ತಾ ಇಲ್ಲ" ಅನ್ನೋ ತರಾ  ಇತ್ತು ಅದರ ಮನಃಸ್ಥಿತಿ. 

Deserted Amruthahalli Lake

Lake clearing work is in full blast. Now the lake looks like desert, with dust eroding from lakebed. It also deserted negatively in terms of avian population. Most of the waders have vacated the lake assuming lake would be extinct soon! Hope this does not happen. Wife was curious whether is this for rejuvenation or playground construction. Other suspect is to clear area for Real estate tycoons?

The below looks like highway work which spares a tree along the path!

Bangalore lakes were constructed with a plan and purpose in mind. Now, most of the lakes are avenged  by real estate greed.

Meanwhile, the birds too have deserted this place due to lack of vegetation and water. Only interested folks like drongos, egrets and mynas which feed on the dug out mud stay here. They boldly sit beside excavator to spot their meal without worrying about the life danger!

This black drongo was enjoying its ride on the dumper truck and shows how these intrepid urban birds have adapted to urban land with minimum resources.

Although there is political motive behind the lake desilting activity, what citizens expect is the problems do not recur. The sewage needs to be redirected away from lake. Authorities are promising to block sewage towards lake but how to manage backpressure during excess rain is the question. The hollow pipes are connected to sewage channel from lake for spilling excess water but what happens when sewage backpressure forces water to move against the flow? We had couple of cases few years back when lake bed spilled due to heavy rains inundating the neighboring areas. Politicians provide temporary solutions and rest till next elections. I am afraid, same is the case here!

The colorful summer blooms are the only cheer leaders around the arid lake bed.

Before winding up, the sunset behind the deserted lake is something to cheer for! Not for long though when concrete pinnacles shadow the lake area. The east part of lake also has similar story! The area is being cleared for real estate development even though the land is part of lake. An attempt to eyewash the common people in name of development.

Hope the lake facelift materializes resulting in abundant avian activity!

Photo Blog - Walk Block!

These stout feral street dogs look scary but benign till date. They generally do not harm walkers. These  canines perhaps fed by left over food from nearby meat shops. They also walk friendly behind lake security personnel. So that may be also another source of food!

In one of our routine walks, the dogs blocked the path entirely perhaps unknowingly :-). Whether benign or aggressive, people of Bengaluru generally avoid messing with the street dogs due to their sheer aggression and strength. Especially at night, their behavior is unpredictable! Animal lovers care for such street dogs but aren't conscious of troubles they create. We managed to cross the strange barricade along the small gap they left for walkers, needless to say with slight nervousness of course!

Sweltering Summer and Colourful Sunset

The summers are humid in Bengaluru nowadays. The rains are not materializing still. However, the clouds during sundown are adding magic by painting the sky with vivid hues. Almost everyday, we have versatile scenes. While capturing them in city with better foreground is difficult due to work, its only on weekends, we can move to lakes and capture some beauties. The pictures follow are the ones which were shot enjoying sundown from Jakkur lake. Hope you enjoy.

The winds slowed down as dusk creeped in. The water was still and reflections were crisp. The winds slowing down also signify brewing thunderstorm activity in later days. But till now we haven't received healthy rains. Hope the rain gods bless us soon with cool showers.

ಚಿತ್ರ ಬರಹ - ಆಕಾಶ ಎಂಬ ಹಣೆಗೆ ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಚಂದದ ಬೊಟ್ಟು!

ಅರೆರೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರ ಬರಹ! ಆದರೂ ಟ್ಯಾಗ್ ಮಾತ್ರ ಒಂದೇ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ (NKHPhotoBlog)! ಒಂದೇ ಕಡೆ ಇರಲಿ ಅಂತಾ!

ಗುಡುಗು ಮಳೆಯ ಸೀಸನ್ ಬಹಳ ಜೋರಾಗಿದೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಬರುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಸುರಿಯುತ್ತಿದೆ ಅನ್ನೋ ಸುದ್ಧಿ. ಸಂಜೆ ಆಕಾದಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡುವ ಬಣ್ಣಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರ ವರ್ಣನಾತೀತ! ಚಲಿಸುವ ಮೋಡಗಳು, ಅದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೂರ್ಯಾನ ಕಣ್ಣು ಮುಚ್ಚಾಲೆ, ಸೂರ್ಯಾಸ್ತದ ಸುಂದರ ಬಣ್ಣಗಳು ಸಾಕು ಒಂದು ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಪ್ರಾಕೃತಿಕ ಚಿತ್ರ ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸಲು.

ವಾಕಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಕಂಡ ದೃಶ್ಯ! ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಇಂತದೆ ಏನಾದರೂ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟವಾದ ಚಿತ್ರಣಗಳು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಗಲವಾದ ಮೋಡದ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷನಾದಾಗ ನನಗೆ ಥಟ್ಟನೆ ಹೊಳೆದಿದ್ದು "ಆಕಾಶ ಎಂಬ ಹಣೆಗೆ ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಚಂದದ ಬೊಟ್ಟು!". ನಗರದಲ್ಲೂ ಸುಂದರ ದೃಶ್ಯಗಳು ಕಾಣಸಿಗುತ್ತವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ವರ್ಣಿಸಲುಬಹುದು ಅಂಥಾ ದೃಶ್ಯ ನೋಡಿದಾಗಲೇ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದು.

ಅಮೃತಹಳ್ಳಿ ಕೆರೆ ಸುತ್ತ ನಡೆದಾಡುವಾಗ ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದ ದೃಶ್ಯ!

ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಸುಂದರ ದೃಶ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಣ್ತುಂಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ! ನಗರದ ಸುತ್ತ ದಪ್ಪ-ಪುಷ್ಟ ಮೋಡಗಳು ಸುತ್ತುವರಿದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಸಧ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ದೂರದ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುರಿದ ಮಳೆಯ ಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ತಂಗಾಳಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ತೃಪ್ತಿಪಡುವಂತಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಸೆಕೆ ಇದುವರೆಗೆ ಕಂಡಿಲ್ಲ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ!

Religious principles underscore the need to find joy in simplest of things around. Its not always about writing elaborate content or flaunting your travel story to the globe. It's the little things around you which gives tiny but vital content to scribble things. The elaborate blogs are read only by few and most of the readers heed to pictures in blog. I am also in that path of transformation of simplifying things or rather finding joy/content/topic/rant in simplest of things around. Here it starts!

Sunset is to review your day and take actions of forthcoming events. What went good, what went bad, what could be better. For some it's ruminating past and learning from mistakes. For some it's relaxation post grueling day. The contemporary generation indulges in smart phone powered with internet for relaxation. Perhaps binge watching comedy reels or shorts relieves them of strained life. Whatever may be the reason, the body soaked in evening sun is good for this gentleman to some extent than doing same operation in confined room.
