Jumping waves

For a change, we visited the other side shore of kapu beach light house where the crowd is sparse or naught. It has been my desire to explore this area from long time and capture the landscape with fishing boats. Alas! being no fishing season, the fisherman were resting in lounge playing cards and so were their boats. The shoreline was completely empty with only few stray dogs around.

Despite being monsoon season, there were sufficient crowd visiting the kapu beach due to the subdued rain activity. Usually, it is not even possible to visit light house due to peak monsoon season. Thanks to bleak monsoon, the tourists can throng in. The sea was violent but unmatched to the usual monsoon season. Despite the subdued activity, the sea was enough turbulent to repel the crowd. The authorities are cautious as not to allow crowd to venture into sea.

The roaring sea culminated into some beautiful jumping waves when it hit boulders. It was to fun capture these scenes and many of them turned quite well. Even my toddlers too enjoyed the jumping waves after a initial hesitation.Nowadays they are used to the roar of seas and have less fear towards it although playing with sea water is still no no :D. Hope you enjoy the pictures and a short video to feel the blast of the arabian sea!

Such scenes aren't unusual during monsoon season. It is only that I captured for first time. The sea turns more violent than what is depicted now. However, the lull monsoon activity is decelerating the wave motion. It was fun though watching the waves fly high when tides bumped into boulders

  3. Beautiful photography. I was going to say #5 is my favorite. I love the light in that one. That is until I saw next to last photo, which is equally as stunning!
