Unseasonal events - The unusual muggy weather

The new year marks the slew of unseasonal events with temperature & humidity raising in coastal Karnataka. This weather pattern eventually culminated in unusually heavy rains over region. The slopes of Western Ghats are witnessing quite heavy spells of evening rains and thus rendering farming community nervous. Most of the crops that are grown post monsoon do not need much water and are mostly cultivated keeping in mind zero rains. But nature has other plans. The out of blue high temperatures and sudden raising of humidity is turning weather muggy and bringing moisture from sea towards mainland. The sweltering weather also unbearable at times forcing 24x7 rotation of ceiling fans. The situation is no different in my in-laws place Hosaadu. These are the pictures snapped during first week of January which were showing signs of rains to offset the hot weather. It did not happen but the distant thunder were bit of hope. The sunset was beautiful and the cloudscape was enticing to capture. Hope you enjoy them too!

Presence of clouds paves way for enticing sunset as always. It is pleasure to watch them despite soaring humidity.

Even in our village, the mornings of December were filled with clouds and thus increasing temperature over region. This is the first time I have seen such prolonged activity over the region during winter.
