Water spots along shiraadi ghat

Here are some pictures taken during our drive from Udupi to Bangalore on 22-09-2013. The western ghats were fully decorated with greenery along with myriad of seasonal waterfalls. Unfortunately due to lack of time, we stopped only at one or two places. Our main intention was to reach Sakaleshpur as early as possible to avoid dreadful shiraadi ghat road. The later story was, the ghat was not tortured to the extent we thought ;-). It was a smooth sail to Sakaleshpur barring 5-6 stretches. I had to drive alone till Bangalore and hence no videos :-(. To our luck, the rains which were pouring from almost a week, had receded the day of our travel with appearance of Sun even in western ghats :-). We enjoyed the water spots as well as gundya river and monkeys ;-) at many places along shiraadi ghat. Most of these water spots meet Gundya river at some or the other places. Not to miss, the gundya river was looking so beautiful but could not take any snaps. I thought it would be difficult to drive at night but my prediction was again bad. The night journey was smoother than the day drive. The absence of two wheelers, adamant cattle and crazy dogs ;-), helped me in smooth drive. I had aeroplane drive from Sakaleshpur to Bangalore by covering 220km stretch in matter of 3 hours ;-) (including dinner break). Also the CRDi engine of Ritz, provided full co-operation and pull in ghat section. Enjoy few pictures from Shiraadi ghat. Such scenes are available only during monsoon season or maximum a month after monsoon recedes.

THE WATER FINALLY MEETS THE GUNDYA RIVER
Hope I will be able to grab more pictures during our return journey. I have already given heads-up to my father to have more stoppages during return journey and he has given positive nod till now ;-).
