The olden days when distant talks were expensive, we used visit such phone booths for sanity check of our closed ones. It used to cost a lot for outstation and international trunk dialing. We hardly used to talk over machines and spend much time face to face. In retrospective, human interactions were more during those days. Now human interactions are more via machines even within home.
Comes era of mobile where everything is unlimited. We are engrossed in digital machines spending most of our time beating our eyes on mobile. International calls are free via WhatsApp and data also unlimited. face-to-face conversation are reduced and machine talks are more. We are absorbed into mobiles even if we sit close by. While there are advantages of digital revolution most of it are worthless. The wishes, congratulations are valued more via social media than conveying face to face. Let's see how future looks like.
Few thoughts flashed into brain when I saw this picture in our Village. Not sure if they still have this facility or left paint as-is. It's also lesson for people like us that we should be updated with constant change. Whether modernization is Good or Bad is out of topic. But just sticking on to one thing will make survival difficult
