The monsoon stream at neighbouring village is flourishing with birds. Many kingfishers hunt nearby stream. I have quite good collection of them but not detailed one. These shy birds run away while spotting humans. Their serious face depicts that their primary aim is prey and not distractions. Hence they tend to move as distant as possible. Here are few of them from archives.
Lets start with Common Kingfisher. This bird was so close, but evening light does not strike at this position. Hence not a clear picture. Bit disappointed. Morning light would have been ideal
The white throated kingfisher are plenty.
I rarely see stork billed kingfisher nowadays. One lucky morning, I caught them clearly thanks to soft sunlight.
