Bird Series - Indian spot billed duck

Simple name right! It derives name from the red spot on its bill :-). Its Indian because it resides in India only? Never mind, one more bird spotted at Amruthahalli lake during casual walk. They were dabbling in tiny pool located at east side of lake area. From internet, they are known to stay in freshwater which shoots a doubt if lake actually is freshwater? Jokes apart, these ducks were bit far from the promenade due to which I could not get a clear picture. Also there are no water regions near the boundary of lake. So it is difficult to shoot them for now closely. Hopefully, I will find them at lakes nearby. Here are some pictures for reference. Its seems they feed on plant located near the watery region. The escape route from strangers is dive inside the water :-).

This was captured when the duck freely (really?) swimming in puddle located at mid of lake. Was quite difficult capture under hazy light. Hence details are also not appealing
