Yet another lucky bird :-). When I say lucky, the bird perches closer and does not fly when approached closer :-). This bird was perched on top the cement sheet which is covering the in-construction (the future lake-view) apartment. The bird looks to be accustomed to urban lifestyle and hence did not move even with constant human movements. The negative part was that I was shooting against sun which means harsh light. Fortunately, the cream background of apartment provided perfect contrast which enabled camera to focus properly on the subject. Despite the absence of sunlight, there was pale reflected catchlight on bird's eye.
So why are they called "Pied Bushchat". Pied may be due to presence of multiple colours (black and white). Bushchat? Even I am not aware. As per information from internet, these birds feed on insects on the ground. They have noticeable white vent and patches of white in plumage. Here are pictures
