Bird Series - Black Rumped Flameback

These birds quite common in our native village. They perch on the coconut tree stems pecking frequently. Everyday we see them early morning but capturing at such low light is difficult since camera produces intense noise. Their striking on the trees are clearly visible. Sometimes, I see them at the backyard trees rubbing their beak against the tree. The sound though not pleasant, their vibrant colours are eye-catching. The first time I saw them was fascinated by the colour pattern and textures on their body. Here are some of the pictures captured in past 6 months. Still no clear picture due to obvious lack of focal length

  1. ...the Black Rumped Flameback is an appropriate name for this bird.
