Bird Series - Spotted Dove

Quite common bird in our village. Most of the time, they are seen over the fields and roads looking for grains or any other food. Don't know what they look for on roads. They perch on electric lines when they wish to absorb some Sun. Wikipedia says, they also feed on insects. Most occasions, I have only seen pulling something from ground. Their voice somewhat matches with white cheeked barbet with low pitch and low amplitude. Till date, I had mistaken their voice for barbets with low call. This was eventually corrected when I saw them calling while perched on electric line. Here are pictures of the birds. Their catch light is difficult to capture due to dark eye-cover.
