Varahi River Bank at Hattiyangadi

Hattiyangadi is known for the Vinayaka temple who is considered as wish giver. We have visited this divine place 3-4 times but never visited the river bank. My assumption was that the river bank is bit far from the temple. However, it is nearly adjacent to temple premises. I realized it during my visit to Hattiyangadi this year. The Shiva temple near to the main temple was obstructing the views of river bank. When we set out to have darshan of Lord shiva, the Shiva temple was closed but the river bank was exposed. We spent few minutes in river bank enjoying the landscape. The cloud activity is the outcome of uncanny weather prevailing in coast. The river bank hosts vivid landscape including mangroves. Enjoy the pictures from our short visit.

We relished tasty AshtaDravya prepared in temple with beaten rice, honey, jaggery syrup, sugar cane and banana. Something apart from river bank as well to be happy about :-)

The Shiva temple which was closed and pond where egrets were picking bugs

Finally a short video from visit to temple and river bank!
